"After E1 was finished, Paramount Pictures wanted me to write a song for a movie in the spirit of "MCMXC a.D.". So I did one called "Carly's Song" for the movie "Sliver" with Sharon Stone. Afterwards, I decided to put in on my second record "The Cross Of Changes", but I couldn't use the name of the title which refers to the movie and nothing else. It was a hard fight with Paramount Pictures till I could change it into "Age Of Loneliness".

At the end, even this new name made sense, because it symbolizes the main character of the movie, called Carly. She (Sharon Stone) was a lonely lost one."
