A Posteriori

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Zero… Go! In 2006, the sixth Enigma soundship A Posteriori embarked on a new musical journey of discovery. The Latin title, meaning “based on experience, empirical”, captures the album’s foundation: each track building on what came before, drawing from the combined experience of the five previous albums to explore new galaxies. Each song represents a different stage of an intergalactic sound-trip, with the album’s focus turning outward to the phenomena of the universe and the present state of humanity.

The lead single Goodbye Milky Way draws from scientific findings to deliver the album’s central image: “In 5 billion years the Andromeda galaxy will collide with our Milky Way. A new gigantic cosmic world will be born.” Despite this seemingly dark undertone, a message of hope resonates throughout the album, the conviction that vision and conscience are what guide humanity forward: “For a better world without hate, follow your heart, believe in fate. Only visions and the mind will guide you to the light.”
