About Gravity of Love
One of the songs Cretu rates among his own best, and the one where Enigma reached for the scale of a full choir and orchestra, featuring Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Over that grandeur sit a new female guest voice Cretu brought into the project, Ruth-Ann Boyle. The song became the fourth album’s most cinematic moment, a swelling, dramatic centerpiece that showed how far the project’s sound could open out without losing its intimacy.
”There is a story, where I got the lyric idea of the chorus: there was a huge fire in Australia, and I saw a little tiny animal that survived. All the big ones were dead. That was, why I invented: ...in the eye of storm just think of the lonely dove... the experience of survival is the key to the "Gravity of Love".
