Mea Culpa (Part II)

Where the first single provoked, this one confesses. The title takes the oldest admission of guilt in the Catholic rite, mea culpa, and turns it into something closer to seduction than penance. Sandra’s voice moves between French and the Latin of the liturgy, and the question underneath is the one Cretu kept circling on the album: who actually holds the power to forgive. Even the mixes carry the theme in their names, from the Orthodox Mix to the Catholic Version.
