A plea for common ground, drawn from the seventh album. The idea behind The Same Parents is as simple as it sounds: that everyone, whatever their differences, traces back to the same origin, and that the violence between people forgets it. Cretu sets that thought against a warm, hymn-like arrangement, letting the melody and voices of his children carry the message.
”One of my boys came into the studio one day asking me: Why do people killing each other? At the end, we all have the same parents. There is more truth in this childlike naivety than we adults often see.
